Jakarta –
Artist and politician Eros Djarot admits he contracted COVID-19 from banknotes. He was exposed to COVID-19 since 17 days ago with no symptoms such as cough, dizziness and shortness of breath.
“I never leave the house, I don’t meet anyone other than people at home. I really got hit because I touched paper money,” said Erros when contacted on Saturday (24/7) yesterday.
Because the spike in cases was increasing, Erros had decided to live in a private villa, precisely in the Gadog area, Puncak, West Java. However, who would have thought that it was precisely in the refuge that he was exposed.
In fact, according to the director of the film “Tjoet Nya’ Dhien”, he and his family just locked themselves up at the top. While doing an antigen test, he was tested positive for COVID-19 by the doctor concerned.
“Well, the test results turned out to be positive. My wife too,” said Dewi Triyadi Surianegara’s husband.
Out of curiosity, Erros tried tracing himself. He also recalled the events of the past week or ten days. He suspected that the source of transmission came from contact with paper money. That was the only trace of Erros.
“I once told the maid to go shopping. Buy something like that. Maybe the change had a virus attached to it,” Erros guessed.
Initially, he was surprised by the results of the antigen swab which declared himself positive for COVID-19. The reason, he did not experience any symptoms other than not feeling well for five days.
“This is also original, I almost didn’t feel anything. Before that, I was surprised that the antigen swab result detected me positive,” said the 71-year-old man.
