The elected mayor of Valledupar, Ernesto Orozco, will begin the connection with the current government headed by Mello Castro, in the field of security, being advised and related to the Government Secretariat, by the general (r) of the National Army, Pablo Alfonso Bonilla Vásquez, who will have contact with the police authorities, the army, the Prosecutor’s Office, among others involved in the issue of security for the municipality.

With nearly 40 years of military career behind him and great achievements as commander of several tactical units, including Commander of the Tenth Armored Brigade, the First Division of the Army, deputy chief of the Joint Operational Staff and many more, Bonilla Vásquez is an expert. to develop a greater security strategy for Valledupar and its rural area, but also consolidate the close collaboration between society, community centers and productivity with the military institution.

Ernesto Orozco and Mello Castro already had a first meeting in the office of the Government of Cesar, where the elected mayor ratified the commitment to Valledupar “to work for its progress and development”, also launching the projection of works such as paving the Simón Bolívar Avenue, dual carriageway between the La Popa Battalion and Flores de María, the Malecón del Río Guatapurí and First Avenue.

It should be noted that the transition of government, between the outgoing Mello Castro and the incoming Ernesto Orozco, will be presented first in a management report, then will come the accountability and finally the junction, which consists of the exchange of information about achievements , procedures, investments, projects in execution, personnel or contractors, established for the different sectors of the Mayor’s Office of Valledupar.
