60 years have passed since July 2, 1961, when Ernest Hemingway chose to violently end his life. From the automotive point of view it cannot be said that he was a real enthusiast. In fact, when he did not challenge death in war he loved to spend his time immersed in nature, in the forests or in the middle of the sea. However, some specific vehicles (not only terrestrial) have played an important role in his personal events and, consequently, in the literary works that have allowed him to be remembered as one of the most important writers of the first half of the twentieth century. So let’s go through the book of his life again to realize that, behind some of his most famous characters, there are four wheels or a rudder. And a propeller, in a sense, prevented us from seeing any more.
