Ernakulam students infected with norovirus Sirajlive.com

Kochi | School students in Ernakulam have been infected with norovirus. The virus was found in three students of Kakanad private school. They are in the hospital. The school was closed for the next three days to prevent the spread of the disease.

After seeing symptoms like diarrhea and vomiting, the examination was being conducted. Some parents are also suspected of having the virus. Tests are also being conducted to see if more children are affected by the disease.

Noro is a group of viruses that cause stomach flu. The virus causes inflammation of the lining of the stomach and intestines, severe vomiting and diarrhea. Although norovirus is usually mild in healthy people, it can be serious if it infects young children, the elderly, and people with other underlying medical conditions.
