Sindre Finnes, who is married to Conservative leader and former Prime Minister Erna Solberg, has received the corona. Now the couple is sitting separately – in isolation and quarantined.
– I am in quarantine because Sindre has received a corona.
That’s what Erna Solberg says in the VG podcast Giæver and the gang. She is currently separated from her husband Sindre Finnes, who is in isolation, while Solberg is in quarantine.
– He is very healthy really, but has had flu-like symptoms. I have been tested and I still have no symptoms, she says and continues:
– But I have stayed away for the last four days, and I am bored at home office.
The recent episode of Giæver and the gang, where Solberg also talks about Kåre Willoch’s death, the corona handling and the commuter apartment noise, comes on Friday afternoon.
– Pretty good shape
Available confirms corona infection to VG.
– I am sitting here in isolation and I am in pretty good shape, he says.
He has been there since Monday morning, when he developed symptoms and took a coronal test.
– I thought I had the flu, says Finnes.
– Do you know anything about where you were infected?
– No, so I ended another phone call now to talk to you, because I thought maybe it was the infection tracking that rang.
He also does not know which variant of the coronavirus he is infected with.
The positive thing is that all my contacts are healthy and that I have not infected anyone. I have called around, and those who were in doubt have tested themselves and received a negative answer.
First quarantine
I mars 2020 Solberg’s closest adviser became corona infected.
– This is not the first time you have had people near you who have been infected, so you have some experience?
– Yes, but I have never before had to go in quarantine, in fact, says Solberg.
– If it’s not omicron, I’ll probably finish this quarantine, since I’ve taken a PCR test and stuff. But for safety’s sake and since everything is so uncertain, I wait until Sindre gets his thumbs up because he has a green corona passport and is not contagious.
