Erling Haaland named Best Player of the 2022-2023 English Premier League season

Manchester City striker, star Erling Haaland, won the award for best player in the 2022-2023 season from the Football Critics Association in England today, Friday, after scoring 51 goals in 47 matches.

The Norwegian player won 82 percent of the votes, the largest percentage in the history of the English Premier League, ahead of Arsenal duo Bukayo Saka and Martin Odrigaard.

Haaland, 22, dazzled everyone with his abundance of goals in his first season with City, aspiring to win a historic treble.

Haaland became the scorer with the most goals in one season in the history of the English Premier League when he scored his thirty-fifth goal against West Ham United earlier this month.

He played a prominent role in coach Pep Guardiola’s team leading the league, one point ahead of Arsenal, with four rounds remaining. He knew that “City” had a postponed match.

Next week, the “Citizens” will host Real Madrid in the second leg of the Champions League semi-final after a 1-1 draw in the first leg in the Spanish capital, and will play the FA Cup final against rivals Manchester United on the third of next June.

On the other hand, the Australian star, Sam Kerr, attacking Chelsea Women’s Club, won the title of best player from the League, and she will receive the award with Haaland on May 25.
