He can reveal to Dagbladet that he has hijacked a new job after receiving an offer he could not refuse. At the beginning of this month, he started as a project employee in the Stiftelsen Kirkens Bymisjon Tromsø.
Here he will work in a self-confidence project aimed at young people in Tromsø and Kirkenes, which Erlend Elias believes is a declaration of trust in itself.
– I have had my downturns that I have recovered from, I was completely down, but worked hard to become the one I had the goal of becoming, he says, and adds:
– I am also very interested in young people and young adults. There are an incredible number of external factors that make it much harder to grow up now than when I grew up.

The 38-year-old believes that social media can bring a lot of positive things, but that it can also mean that those who are in pain and those who feel left out can get even worse from social media.
– I will help start a gathering place where you can meet and talk. A fantastic opportunity, says Erlend Elias, who adds that the pandemic eventually makes it possible for him to spend a lot of time physically present.
The celebrity stylist will initially be part of the project throughout the year.
– It’s nice to be able to do something that is so close to my heart, at the same time as I can do other things I love. I get the best of both worlds by helping others, he says, and reveals his motto:
“You can not copy others, but you can be inspired.”

The general manager of the foundation, Ann Karina Sogge, says in a press release that it is a pleasure to strengthen the organization’s work aimed at children, young people and families through Erlend Elias’ expertise.
Erlend Elias has traveled around for several years with lectures on identity and being good enough, with a focus on everyone being unique. To be a part of this project, he therefore thinks is great, and looks forward to the rest of the journey.
