Erlabrunn: Around 1,000 participants at…

Around 1,000 athletes started at two triathlon events in Erlabrunn on Sunday. On the one hand at the Würzburg Triathlon (several distances), on the other hand at the FrankenMan Triathlon.

They swam between 300 meters and 4.1 kilometers in the Main and in the Erlabrunn bathing lake. The cycle route through the Main-Spessart district covered 34 and 180 kilometers. It was run between 5 and 42 kilometers.

Hardly any incidents

According to the BRK, the helpers hardly had to intervene. A total of 15 athletes were treated for fatigue. One person came to the hospital.

Results

Fabian Rind from TSV Unterpfaffenhofen-Germering won the “Frankenman” with a time of 10 hours 36 minutes and 45 seconds. Local hero Lukasz Wojt won the Würzburg Triathlon over the middle distance with a time of 4 hours 28 minutes and 33 seconds.

Kevin Antoni from ETSV Lauda won the Olympic distance (1500 meters swimming, 38 km cycling and 10 km running). The winner of the Olympic distance (300 meters swimming, 34 kilometers cycling, 5 kilometers) was Carl Sommer with a time of one hour 19 minutes and 27 seconds.
