Eriksen’s current condition after fainting at Euro 2020

The Danish Football Federation (DBU) confirms the latest conditions kondisi Christian Eriksen who had fainted in Euro 2020 (Euro 2021).

Eriksen suddenly fainted just before halftime in the opening match of Group B between Denmark vs Finland at Parken Stadium, Copenhagen, Saturday (12/6).

The Inter Milan player first underwent emergency medical treatment on the pitch before being rushed to hospital.

Eriksen’s incident had worried many parties. Support also poured in from various circles, including from the Finnish supporters’ tribune.

Not yet known exactly whether Erikson can return to appear in the next match with Denmark. However, the DBU confirmed the 29-year-old midfielder is in stable condition.

“His condition is stable and he continues to be treated at the hospital for further examinations,” the DBU said in a statement.

“This morning we spoke to Christian and he sent his greetings to his team-mates. We would like to thank everyone for their heartfelt greetings.”

Eriksen’s incident became a valuable lesson for the world of football. The alertness of his teammates and the medical team on the pitch helped him regain consciousness in a short time.


The action of the Danish national team captain Simon Kjaer deserves thumbs up. The AC Milan player immediately approached Eriksen to provide first aid before the medical team got involved.

According to Sport Bible, Kjaer took precautions by making sure his compatriot didn’t swallow his own tongue. The medical team then performed CPR to make Eriksen conscious before being taken to the nearest hospital.
