Erik Van Looy has confirmed in ‘De Tafel van Gert’ that he already has seven candidates for the new season of ‘De Slimste Mens’. Of course he didn’t reveal any names yet.
“I already have seven of the thirty-four, but I’m not going to launch anyone yet. I want to tell you who we really want,” he says. “And I think both brothers here know that.”
Christophe and Philip Roodhooft were also guests in this episode. Van Looy is referring to cycling.
“I send Mathieu a message every year, and he always texts back, I’m just happy that I have his number,” Erik jokes, after which he turns to Philip Roodhooft. “He often says yes, but then it takes a few months and I have to call you sometime,” says Erik.
To which Philip says: “Yes, and to me he says: ‘Just say no’.”
