Manager Manchester United Erik ten hag talk about New Year’s resolutions. Ten Hag is aiming for a trophy in 2023.
Before talking about his New Year’s resolutions, Ten Hag looked back on his career in 2022. He led Ajax to Eredivisie glory before moving to MU.
“It’s always about trophies. It’s not about looking too much at yourself, it’s about looking at your family and trophies. That’s what I do and I always will,” Ten Hag said in an interview with the club’s official website .
“So looking back, I’m happy and I’m happy with my family. We’re satisfied and we’ve settled in Manchester, so I’m happy with that. But when it comes to the sporting aspect, obviously the trophies and that’s also what we aim for 2023”.
Moving into 2023, Ten Hag shared his New Year’s resolution. The Dutch coach wants to take MU to a trophy.
“Yes, professionally, (the resolution) I just mentioned, it’s about trophies,” said Ten Hag.
“At the moment we’re not thinking too much about it, right now it’s about getting to a position where you can win trophies. There’s still a long way to go, especially this season, we’re not even halfway there, there’s still a lot games”.
“So don’t focus too much on what can happen, but think from match to match,” he said.
Manchester United currently in fourth place Premier League standings with 11 points difference from Arsenal who are in the lead. The Red Devils also survive in three other competitions: the FA Cup, the English League Cup and the Europa League.
