Ten Hag were sacked last Monday after the team’s poor start to the season, which saw them drop to 14th place in the league.

“Let me start by thanking you for always being with the club,” said Ten Hag in the message published by the SEG Football Company on social media.

Whether it’s away games or a difficult event at Old Trafford, your support has been unwavering.

“I have always enjoyed meeting Manchester United fans around the world. his time at the club.

“We won two cups, these are two achievements that I will cherish for the rest of my life,” said Ten Hag, “Of course my dream was to bring more cups to the team cupboard.”

But unfortunately this dream has come to an end. “I wish Manchester United fans success, titles and glory.

Your support and the warmth I received from everyone at the club helped me feel at home.”

Amorim will join United on November 11, with Ten Hag assistant Ruud van Nistelrooy still in charge of the team as interim coach until then.
