Former Manchester United coach Erik Ten Hag has penned a letter thanking the club’s fans for their support, days after he was sacked as manager of the English Premier League rivals.
Ten Hag were sacked last Monday after the team’s poor start to the season, which saw them drop to 14th place in the league.
On the same day that Robin Amorim was confirmed as a substitute, the Dutch coach sent a message to the fans through the group that handles his work.
“Let me start by thanking you for always being with the club,” said Ten Hag in the message published by the SEG Football Company on social media.
Whether it’s away games or a difficult event at Old Trafford, your support has been unwavering.
“I have always enjoyed meeting Manchester United fans around the world. his time at the club.
“We won two cups, these are two achievements that I will cherish for the rest of my life,” said Ten Hag, “Of course my dream was to bring more cups to the team cupboard.”

Amorim will join United on November 11, with Ten Hag assistant Ruud van Nistelrooy still in charge of the team as interim coach until then.
