Ten Hag will officially become Manchester United’s permanent manager next season. But he has already started his work at Old Trafford, starting with the preparation of the pre-season program.
The Dutchman will witness Manchester United’s last appearance this season, against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park, Sunday (22/5/2022) night WIB. This match also marks the last match Cristiano Ronaldo et al under the direction of Ralf Rangnick.
Manchester United this season has been shattered. They won’t be able to finish better than sixth and are sure to collect their lowest points in Premier League history.
MU can only reach a maximum of 61 points, with their previous record low of 64 points. This result is a big record for Erik ten Hag to start his era.
Ten Hag doesn’t want to be grandiose about his initial target with Manchester United. For next season, the aim is to finish in the top four and make it a consistent result.
“It (finishing in the top four) is a must. The target is to make Manchester United consistent in Europe again, like we did with Ajax. Being in the Champions League with Manchester United is a prerequisite,” said Erik ten Hag.
