Erik ten Hag – about Manchester United’s 0:3 loss to Bournemouth: “Naturally, I’m disappointed and annoyed”

Manchester United head coach Erik ten Hag spoke about his team’s crushing defeat in the 16th round match of the English Premier League against Bournemouth (0:3).

“I think as a team we are not good enough to be consistent and we have to work as a team to improve that.

We have to improve, we have to get tougher so that we are ready to play from the start. I said on Friday that you can’t play subpar in this league or you’ll get killed. This is what happened in the first five minutes, we made their life easier, they got ideal conditions to play. You see how the team fights, fights, puts in a lot of effort for a long period, but it cannot be that you concede a goal so easily.

I’m annoyed, disappointed, no doubt about it. I was expecting something different, I was hoping before the game that we could build on the game and the result of the match with Chelsea, so this is very disappointing,” ten Hag was quoted as saying by The Athletic.
