Once again, Ericsson and Samsung bury the hatchet in patents. The Swedish telecoms equipment maker announced on May 7, 2021 that it had entered into a new multi-year license agreement with the Korean electronics giant, ending nearly a one-and-a-half legal battle between the two parties in China, in the United States and Europe. The agreement includes all mobile technologies, including 5G, and covers sales of both network infrastructure equipment and handsets from January 1, 2021. Financial terms are not disclosed. But the outcome looks more favorable for one of the two.
