Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir attended the launch of the Food SOE Holding named ID FOOD in the Old City area, Jakarta, Wednesday (12/1/2022). On that occasion, Erick had an important message to the ID FOOD line.
“I said earlier, the Holding of BUMN Food with the ID Food brand is not only changing the logo but also being confirmed from the ecosystem of the BUMN supply chain BUMN Food Holding must be increased,” he said.
According to Erick, the synergy of SOEs has been manifested in the MAKMUR program led by PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero). The program takes the form of intensive escort and assistance to farmers and technology-supported agricultural cultivation.
“Where the synergy between RNI, PTPN, PT Pupuk, Himbara targets fertilizer in 50 thousand hectares of rice fields as a pilot project, it turns out that now it is 85 thousand and supports 79 thousand farmers. There is a focus on rice, corn, other horticulture,” said Erick.
“This program is a complete change because there is financing and the merger of farmers and RNI and the private sector so that off taker results of fellow farmers. In the future it will be for livestock and fishermen, but gradually it will be in agriculture first,” he continued.
Furthermore, Erick said technology and research are the keys so that Indonesian food is not inferior to neighboring countries.
