Minister of BUMN Erick Thohir tells about the Minister of Investment, Bahlil, who used to be belittled because he didn’t speak English. According to Erick, this shouldn’t be a problem, because the most important thing is whether you can work or not.
“The investment problem, if we look at our investment cake, first applause for our Minister of Investment, Mr. Saleh’s friend too, that used to be somewhat underestimated, why can’t he speak English. Even though the point is not there, the point is whether you can work or not,” said Erick at the Investor Appreciation Night event, Thursday (19/1/2023).
Erick also said that the investment target of IDR 1,200 trillion had been successfully achieved. However, he could not speak further.
“And I only dare to highlight the third quarter, even though I know the report is in the fourth quarter, the figure of Rp. 1,200 trillion has gone through, but I can’t talk about that, let’s talk about publishing it first,” said Erick.
Meanwhile, investment realization in the third quarter of 2022 is IDR 892.4 trillion. This figure is 74.4% of the target.
“This publication now has an achievement of 74%, what is also interesting is that our President’s aspirations to build Indonesia-centric have happened, look at investment in Java and outside Java,” he said.
