Jakarta –
SOE Minister Erick Thohir visited the state’s first and only music recording studio, Lokananta in Solo, Central Java. This moment was shared by Erick through his official Instagram with a video.
In the video upload, Erick is seen looking around the entire Lokananta room, from the old cassette cabinets to the first music recording room. Erick also received information that the music room was still original since 1956 with the items that had not been changed.
“Is this the original? It’s 50, isn’t it, the tools are still the same?,” Erick said to officers in Lokananta, quoted from Instagram @erickthohir, Monday (8/8/2022).

“1956, still the same tool,” replied the officer.
While walking around, Erick also expressed his sadness when he saw the Lokananta building and its contents were no longer used. “1956 Lokananta is the first recording studio for LPs throughout Indonesia,” he said.
“It’s sad to see historical items, it’s a shame,” he continued.
After walking around in Lokananta, Erick met two young men who were also looking at the condition of Lokananta. In a conversation, the two young people told Lokananta to be repaired.
“What’s good about it? Don’t dismantle it, make it better? Thank God we pray,” Erick replied to the two young men.
Erick also said the thing that popped into his head when he landed his feet on Lokananta. “Too bad,” wrote Erick.
He also explained that Lokananta is a historic BUMN asset that has been eaten by time. Erick promised to fix it so that it could be useful again.
“God willing, we will fix it so that musicians can use it again for their work. I want the public to also be able to enjoy witnessing the history of the development of music in Indonesia,” said Erick.
