Erick Thohir Appoints Deputy Minister of Trade in the SBY Era as Bulog Boss Replacing Buwas

BUMN Minister Erick Thohir raised Bayu Krisnamurthi as President Director of Perum BULOGreplacing Budi Waseso per 1 December 2023.

This appointment is stated in the Decree of the Minister of BUMN number SK-341/MBU/12/2023 dated 1 December 2023 concerning the Dismissal and Appointment of Members of the Board of Directors of Perum BULOG.

After being appointed to carry out the new mandate, Bayu Krisnamurthi said that the state’s trust must be properly maintained, especially BULOG’s position in maintaining food sovereignty.

“At the same time continuing Budi Waseso’s leadership, which in my opinion has been good in overseeing the progress of BULOG’s transformation to date,” said Bayu, in a written statement.

After handing over his position, as the new President Director of BULOG, Bayu held a limited meeting with the old and new directors, discussing future strategies for facing Nataru and global uncertainty.

Meanwhile, after handing over the seat of BULOG’s top leadership to Bayu, Budi Waseso has now been appointed as President Commissioner of Semen Indonesia Group (SIG) through the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS).

Budi Waseso said he accepted all policies from the government and was grateful to have led BULOG for more than five years.

“And I believe that Bulog’s replacement will be better and will continue the transformation that is already underway,” said Budi Waseso.

In this change in the composition of Perum BULOG’s board of directors, Erick Thohir also appointed Arief Prasetyo Adi as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Perum BULOG, replacing Bayu Krisnamurthi,
