After an impressive campaign in the Mexican Baseball League (LMB), where the Diablos Rojos del México broke their ten-year drought, a of their star pitchers will go to baseball Major Leagues. Through its social networks, the scarlet team announced that its right-handed pitcher, Erick Lealsigned a contract with the New York Yankees.
Erick Leal’s signing with the New York Yankees marks a new chapter in his career. The pitcher has signed a contract of Minor Leagues by two seasonswhich will allow him to participate in Spring Training in 2025 and fight for a spot on the MLB team’s roster.

Leal already has experience in the Minor Leagues
The Venezuelan he is not a rookie in American baseball. He previously played in the Minor Leagues with the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2012 and the Chicago Cubs in 2013. However, at that stage of his career he failed to make his MLB debut.
Loyal has also been key piece in its country nataldefending the colors of the Navegantes del Magallanes in the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League. After his time in the Minor Leagues, he found a new opportunity in LMB, first with the Rieleros de Aguascalientes in 2021, and later with the Diablos Rojos in 2023, where he quickly established himself as one of the team’s most important pitchers.
