Erick admits that 7 BUMNs will be dissolved: If allowed, we are Dzolim

Jakarta

A total of 7 BUMNs will be dissolved this year. BUMN Minister Erick Thohir said that the 7 BUMNs that were to be dissolved were already suspended or not operating anymore.

“So the BUMNs under PPA are indeed BUMNs that have been in motion since 2008. So it is not BUMN that are operating, since 2008 they have been operating dead,” said Erick at the Ministry of BUMN, Jakarta, Tuesday (4/5) / 2021).

Erick said that the disbandment had to be done. He said that if it was not disbanded, he would only oppress the BUMN or its workers for not providing certainty.

“We as leaders will do nothing if we leave no certainty from the BUMN or its workers. So we have to take steps. Even SOEs that are now changing than after COVID-19 must also be prepared to compete, especially those that are already unable to compete. . Those who are still alive now have to change to compete. So those things that we have to do, are not right and wrong, but a choice that must be made, “said Erick.

On the same occasion, Deputy Minister of BUMN Kartika Wirjoatmodjo said that in order to process the dissolution, his party still needed to conduct an assessment through the Asset Management Company (Persero) / PPA.

“The point is we will again assess the final condition. Are there any assets that we can use first, then the condition of the workforce, the operation. The point is that if there is no operation, no labor, and no liability exposure, we will continue to the closing process,” he said. “said the man who is familiarly called Tiko.

The BUMNs that will be dissolved include PT Industri Gelas (Persero) or Iglas, PT Kertas Leces (Persero), and PT Kertas Kraft Aceh (Persero) or KKA.

“(Disbandment) this year. It has not been fixed, but for example it is Iglas, then Leces, KKA, the point is we will again assess the last condition,” concluded Tiko.
