Erica says she has experienced the media storm surrounding her person as “interesting”. Yet she is not very concerned about everything that is said about her and her statements. “It’s my biography, you can put it aside. It’s my humble opinion, everyone should do what they want with it.”

The reality star thinks that the Netherlands is “very divided”. “You can’t say anything more here. You have insults and people who are very quick to step on their toes, I think that’s a big difference.” In fact, she therefore says that she is satisfied with her statements. “It’s good that a discussion has started, I’m happy about that. It is good that we are entering into the discussion with each other.”

Collaborations

Numerous companies canceled their collaboration with the TV family Meiland after the smear campaign. Card manufacturer Hallmark, mattress brand Emma, ​​Nivea skin care, Milka and Hello Fresh no longer want to be associated with the Meilandjes. Most companies stated in explanations that Erica’s statements are not in line with the goals of inclusivity they pursue.
