Erica Meiland has been diagnosed with a pre-cancerous condition. She said on Monday in the broadcast of Chateau Meiland: On the road that her uterus is therefore being removed. That procedure has now taken place, the 60-year-old reality star confirmed to ANP this morning.
‘I faithfully participate in the population screening for cervical cancer every five years, I’ve been doing that my whole life. The last time they found something. It was investigated and it turned out to be at least a precursor to cancer,’ Meiland said in the program.
According to the reality star, the doctors doubted whether the edges of the tumor were malignant. That is why she was advised to have her uterus removed. ‘So that will happen soon,’ Meiland said during the recordings, which had been completed some time ago. At the time, she said she was already somewhat used to the idea. ‘Of course, a lot goes through your head, that whole machine is going to start running.’
