Erica Meiland has spoken negatively about a mother who was seen in the Chateau Bijstand program. The mother is not pleased with this and gives Erica a wipe from the pan. “With the prejudices she expresses in an interview, she completely misses the point.”
The Meiland family was recently featured in the Chateau Bijstand program. Not only did they take up the challenge themselves to see what it is like to live on welfare, they also spoke to several mothers who were not having an easy time.
Erica is negative about welfare mother
So is Deesi, a single mother of three children. She had the children with three different men, something Erica cannot understand. In an interview, she said that Deesi could have made other choices in life.
Deesi has responded to Erica’s statements via Instagram. The positive feeling she had about the program has disappeared. ,,During the recording of the program we were treated nicely and even had a delicious dinner. Both me and the kids really enjoyed this. After all, we never do this!” Deesi writes on Instagram. “Unfortunately, I now read that Erica is less positive about me in the media.”
‘Hugely disappointed’
Deesi says he is hurt by Erica’s statements. “But above all, very disappointed. The fact that my life has been different from hers doesn’t give her the right to judge me that way, publicly. With the prejudices she now expresses in an interview, she completely misses the point as far as I’m concerned.”
According to Deesi, it is not necessary to have an opinion about something you know nothing about. “Erica, especially for you, where your eyes have not been, your mouth must not speak. And besides… If you don’t have anything nice to say, then it’s better not to say anything!”
