The 2023 Ornithology Championship in Naples was an exceptional event for all bird enthusiasts and scientists around the world. This annual event has brought together thousands of participants from 22 countries to admire the world’s rarest and most exotic birds.
Thousands of birds of different species, colors and sizes were presented in carefully prepared and decorated cages. Ornithology judges examined each bird, noting their appearance, behavior and overall health.

Eric PAYET, a passionate ornithologist since his youth, has been participating in the Ornithology Championships since 2014. This year, it is with a silver beak bird combinations of mutations (prize: gold medal) and the creation of a species mixing the Japanese sparrow (Classic hybrid) and a checkered capuchin that Eric PAYET presented .
Born and raised on Reunion Island, he developed his love for birds from an early age, spending hours observing and identifying them.
