Manchester United again sell senior players. Ivory Coast centre-back Eric Bailly officially released to Besiktas.
The 29-year-old footballer has a contract with Besiktas until the summer of 2024. Bailly has finally left Old Trafford after spending six years in the main squad.
“Eric Bailly has left Manchester United to join Turkish Super League club Besiktas in a permanent move,” read a club statement.
Bailly, 29 years old, was signed by MU from Villarreal in the summer of 2016. However, Bailly’s career failed to shine due to repeated injuries.
Bailly has made 113 appearances for MU with one goal contribution. He was part of the Red Devils squad that won three titles: the League Cup, Community Shield and Europa League.
Nevertheless, Eric Bailly not included in manager Erik ten Hag’s plans so that he is loaned to Marseille in 2022/2023. Bailly will now continue his career in Türkiye with Besiktas.

Besides Bailly, Manchester United it was noted that he had released six of his players in the main squad. They are David de Gea, Phil Jones, Alex Tellas, Fred and goalkeeper Dean Henderson.
