Eredivisie CV chairman Jan de Jong has explained the distribution of TV funds in the Eredivisie. On Tuesday it became clear that the prematurely terminated 2019/2020 season ‘simply’ counts in the distribution of the media funds.
Unlike the Kitchen Champion Division clubs, there was no vote in the Eredivisie: the EDV’s proposal to count this season, however, could count on unanimous approval from the clubs, according to De Jong. “Actually it was not that difficult,” says the former NOS– and Feyenoord director for the FOX Sports camera. “We have done what the KNVB has also done. The ranking is frozen and we will take that to next season.”
