Abdenasser El Khayati is transfer-free again. His club Qatar SC has terminated the contract running until 2021.
El Khayati left Ado den Haag last year for Qatar SC, but the lucrative Middle East adventure is limited to one year. El Khayati played sixteen games for the club and he scored once. Qatar SC has said goodbye to him through official channels. Since El Khayati is transfer-free, he can sign anywhere.
After brief adventures at FC Den Bosch, NAC Breda and Olympiakos Nicosia, El Khayati managed to play in the spotlight of Burton Albion through the amateurs of Kozak Boys. With that club, he promoted from League Two to League One, after which Championship club Queens Park Rangers knocked on for him.
El Khayati experienced its sporting peak at ADO. He was the trendsetter in The Hague for three seasons and was even mentioned by Feyenoord. He had less success at Qatar SC.
