The current president of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, will remain at the head of the country for another presidential term.

The CEC of Turkey publishes official data somewhat later than news agencies. Turkey’s Central Election Commission chairman said Erdogan is leading the presidential race with 54.5% after counting 54% of the vote. Kılıçdaroglu has 45.5%.
Erdogan beat Kılıçdaroğlu in the first round of elections two weeks ago by almost 5 percentage points.
The key issues in this election were soaring inflation and the cost of living, as well as the effects of devastating earthquakes that claimed more than 50,000 lives.
