Speaking at the 7th Ordinary Grand Convention of the Justice and Development Party (AK Party) in Ankara, the President of Turkey and leader of the party, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, said they will unite Turkey to their 2023 goals (Centennial of the Republic), and then to their 2053 vision through the People’s Alliance (founded with the Nationalist Action Party).
“Those who kept Turkey and the Turkish people excluded from radical changes for two centuries, occupying them with their own convulsions, are playing the same game, but this time they will not succeed,” the head of state made clear who added that ” now there is a different Turkey ”.
“Because this time there is a Turkey that expresses itself with a single people with its 84 million inhabitants. This time, there is a Turkey that expresses its determination to occupy its deserved position in the global politics and economic order, not conforming only to what it has, which sets out its challenges of 2023, its vision of 2053 and the ideal of 2071. There is a Turkey that destroys one by one all the traps hatched for eight years. The new daily inculcations of those who would not give us even a glass of water in rainy weather if they could, has not led us off the road. Nor will they be able to set aside ”, he stressed.
Erdogan declared that “we are building a big and strong Turkey that understands the 21st century and beyond, turning its 2023 goals into a new threshold.”
He said that the AK party made Turkey’s progress with investments in education, health, industry and sports.
The president pointed out that the Executive has made all the terrorist gangs inactive without being able to commit actions in the country after the defeat suffered, exclusively the separatist PKK.
“From an investment of 932 billion lira in transport we have renewed and developed the infrastructure of Turkey. Although it is in a recession due to the coronavirus pandemic, Turkey will occupy the first positions in the world as the country with the most extensive air transport infrastructure of the future, ”he clarified.
