MADRID, 18 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan warned on Wednesday that Israel is doing everything possible to spread the conflict in the Gaza Strip to the entire region, after numerous communication devices belonging to Hezbollah members have detonated in recent hours in Lebanon and Syria.
Erdogan spoke by telephone on Wednesday with Lebanese Prime Minister Nayib Mikati, to whom he conveyed his condolences for what has happened in recent hours, when there are already more than 20 dead and 3,000 injured as a result of this surprise attack attributed to Israel.
“Israel’s attempts to extend conflicts to the region are extremely dangerous,” the Turkish president said, adding that “efforts to stop Israeli aggression will continue.”
The day before, hundreds of pagers allegedly belonging to Hezbollah officials and agents exploded, killing 12 people, including a child, and injuring 2,800 others. On Wednesday, walkie-talkies exploded, killing nine people and injuring 300 others.
