Erdogan won the second round of elections on May 28 yesterday with 52.14 percent of the vote. Meanwhile, Kilicdaroglu only won 47.86 percent of the vote.
In his first comments after the elections closed, Erdogan thanked the Turkish people for voting for him.
“I thank the members of our nation for entrusting me with the responsibility to govern this country once again for the next five years,” the Justice and Development Party (AKP) leader was quoted as saying. Algeria.

On that occasion, Erdoğan also stressed that the government’s main priority at the moment is fighting inflation and improving the situation after the devastating earthquake that hit Turkey, last February 6.
