Turkey will not change its position on the entry of Sweden and Finland into NATO. The Turkish side will give its consent until the Scandinavian countries refuse to cooperate with representatives of the PKK.

As Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan noted, the decisiveness of Ankara’s position is confirmed by the fact that NATO partners refrain from questioning the relations of Sweden and Finland with the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (recognized as a terrorist organization in Turkey and the EU).
“We will not change our attitude until our expectations, which we have announced to our partners, are met,” he said.
