Erdogan Accuses Netanyahu of Anti-Semitism and Gaza Massacre

Jakarta

President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan mentioned the Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu as “slayer Gaza” and accused him of spreading anti-Semitism throughout the world.

Erdogan has repeatedly condemned Israel for the massive loss of life and destruction caused by Israel’s response to the massive Hamas attack on October 7.

He has branded Israel a “terrorist state” and called Hamas a “liberation group”.

Erdogan again criticized Israel in his speech to members of the ruling party in parliament on Wednesday (29/11).

“Netanyahu has written his name in history as the Gaza massacrer,” Erdogan said in a speech broadcast nationally, as reported by the news agency. AFPWednesday (29/11/2023).

Netanyahu endangering the security of all Jews in the world by supporting anti-Semitism through the murders he committed in Gaza,” added the Turkish leader.

Sharp rhetoric Erdogan this risks undermining Türkiye’s burgeoning relations with Israel.

Both sides last year reappointed their ambassadors after a decade-long rift in relations.

They also discussed developing closer trade ties and working on new energy projects, which could help build long-term trust.
