Good morning! The South African talk show host Trevor Noah will receive the Erasmus Prize from King Willem-Alexander and former minister Plasterk will most likely be nominated as the new scout in The Hague.

First the weather: due to previous snowfall and freezing, the roads inland can be slippery. Code yellow applies in the center and east of the country. The slipperiness disappears during the morning. It will remain largely dry with regular sunshine until the end of the afternoon. With a weak to moderate northeasterly wind it will be 2 to 5 degrees. In the evening, winter showers move into the country; heavy rainfall, snow and hail may again hinder traffic.

As part of the exchange, eleven Israelis held hostage by Hamas were released last night. They arrived in Israel later that evening. Israel has also approved a list of 50 more Palestinian prisoners for release. They’re all women. Israel says it will release the women if Hamas agrees to release more hostages, according to a statement from Prime Minister Netanyahu’s office.

Sjoerd and Wouter Janssen, better known as DJ duo Showtek, can expect a call from Efteling. In their new issue Shine, they use a tune that sounds very similar to the theme song of the Villa Volta attraction. However, the DJs from Eindhoven have not asked permission for this, writes Broadcasting Brabant. “We will not immediately start a lawsuit, but will first contact the artists,” the amusement park says.
