FAJAR.CO.ID, JAKARTA – The attention on online gambling issues has been getting more and more intense recently. Many parties hope that the issue will be found at its roots, whoever is involved.
The chairman of the DPR RI PKS group, Jazuli Juwaini, also fully supports the efforts of law enforcement officials to eradicate online gambling at its roots. He said that anyone involved, especially civil servants who are supposed to eradicate online gambling, must be dealt with firmly and punished accordingly.
Jazuli explained that the unscrupulous employees of the Ministry of Digital Communication (Kemkomdigi) must be a movement in eradicating the online gambling mafia.
“It is very shameful that (individual) ministry employees who should be blocking judol are actually supporting judol sites,” said Jazuli in a press release, Thursday (7/11).
This member of Commission I DPR appreciated the police officers who exposed the despicable practices of Kemkomdigi workers. He strongly requested that a thorough investigation be carried out on anyone involved except the 15 people who were arrested.
Including if officers above them are involved, they must be investigated and prosecuted legally. Jazuli hopes that law enforcement officials will be consistent, firm and brave in eliminating judol and any actor behind this illegal business worth hundreds of trillions.
“Furthermore, President Prabowo Subianto has ordered that the perpetrators of judol, including those who support them, will be dealt with firmly,” said a member of the DPR for a region Banten will choose.
He warned about the devastating effect of online gambling on society. According to him, people will suffer economically, they will be in debt, their families will be broken up, and many will even commit crimes and even commit murder.
