SIKKA, VICTORYNEWS – Along with the spread of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) that occurred in Sikka Regency, Nangalimanang residents did community service to clean up the environment
Cleaning the environment breaks the chain of mosquito larvae breeding in order to eradicate the spread of DHF in the area.
This was stated by the Head of RT 11, RW 04, Nangalimang Village, Alok District, Sikka Regency, NTT, Gabriel Langga, to sikka.victorynews.id Friday (17/2) evening.

“Considering the increase in dengue cases, we do community service every Friday to eradicate mosquito larvae,” said Gabriel Langga.
Bhkati work every Friday continued Angga, involving all residents of RT 11, starting from their respective homes, to several public facilities such as Posyandu.
According to Angga, residents are very enthusiastic about cleaning the environment and burying used goods, such as cups of mineral water which have the potential to become breeding grounds for mosquito larvae.

Apart from that, he continued, the community service activities involved health workers from the Polindes and Posyandu cadres to conduct outreach to the community.
On that occasion the health worker distributed abate powder to each household to be placed in a water reservoir in each household.
Gabriel Langga, who is also a Postgraduate Student at Budiluhur University Jakarta hopes that every citizen has a collective awareness of the cleanliness of the environment where he lives. ***
