There will be no continuation in Björklöven for Fredric Andersson.
During Thursday, the captain is thanked by the club.
– Björklöven owes Fredric Andersson a lot, says Kenttä on the club’s website.
Right after the trip to Djurgården, the now 35-year-old Fredric Andersson told us that he wants to play hockey one more year and that he was of course open to continuing in Björklöven. Now he is dismissed from the club.
– A fantastic leader who is a big reason for Björklöven’s success in recent years. An incredibly popular person who will be missed, both from the dressing room and the stands, says Per Kenttä on the site.
Wiklund and Rahimi follow the captain out the door
After seven seasons and over 300 regular season matches in the jersey, the era is thus over in Umeå. Especially since it is also announced that Alexander Wiklund and Daniel Rahimi have done their part at the club. For “Wiken” this comes after six seasons, five of which as assistant captain, and for Rahimi it is a farewell after a four-year comeback. Rahimi was also the assistant captain during that period.
– Alexander has been one of the building blocks for many seasons. A lovely character who stood for hard work and always gave his utmost for the team. I wish him the best of luck in his continued career, says Kenttä about Wiklund and continues about Rahimi:
– We are incredibly grateful that he returned home to end his playing career in Björklöven. He has given professionalism a face and shown everyone in our organization what it takes to reach the absolute top level.
A public acknowledgment of the profiles will take place at a later date, the club writes.
