Investing.com – US: Equity markets ended the session lower on Friday; the decline in the sectors , , and , contributed to this decline.
As of the close of the NYSE, the index was down 0.22%, while the index was down 0.25% and the index was down 0.11%.
The better performance of the session for the index is thanks to the title Boeing Co (NYSE 🙂 up 0.84% or 1.58 points for a closing price of 190.49. Home storage Inc (NYSE:) posted the worst performance of the session, shedding 1.42% or 4.55 points for a closing price of 315.86. Travelers Companies Inc (NYSE:) fell 1.03% or 1.95 points and closed at 187.49. For its part, McDonald’s Corporation (NYSE:) lost 0.90% or 2.40 points for a closing price of 263.53.
The best performers of the S&P 500 index go to Interactive Take-Two Software Inc (NASDAQ:) which gained 2.75% at a price of 104.13, Sands of Las Vegas Corp (NYSE:) up 2.10% to 48.07 e Under Armor Inc A (NYSE:) which gained 2.01% for a closing price of 10.16.
The worst performers were Charles River Laboratories (NYSE:) down 2.53% to close at 217.90, Etsy Inc (NASDAQ:) shedding 2.36% to 119.78 and Atmos Energy Corporation (NYSE:), down 2.08% to 112.11 at the close.
The best performance of the NASDAQ Composite goes to Dermata Therapeutics Inc (NASDAQ:) added 104.50% to 0.41, 180 Life Sciences Corp (NASDAQ:) up 79.37% to 3.39 and SoundHound’s artificial intelligence Inc (NASDAQ 🙂 which gained 71.84% for a closing price of 1.77.
The worst performing values are Future Holdings Ltd (NASDAQ:) down 31.00% to 40.65 at the close, Up Fintech Holding Ltd (NASDAQ:) shedding 28.51% to 3.41 and Therapeutics of Hoth Inc (NASDAQ:), down 27.24% to close at 7.80.
Falling stocks outpaced rising stocks on the New York Stock Exchange by 1719 values at 1347 and 110 flats; on the NASDAQ the 1991 values show an increase and the 1743 show a decrease, the 188 remained unchanged.
The index, which measures the implied volatility of options on the S&P 500 index, rose 1.07% to 21.67.
On the other hand, gold for February delivery gained 0.22% or 3.95 points to $1.00 per troy ounce. Elsewhere, crude for February delivery rose 2.68% or 2.10 points to $80.50 a barrel, while Brent for March delivery gained 3.04 points. % or 2.54 points for a price of $86.00 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.39% to 1.07, while USD/JPY fell 1.42% to 131.13.
The US dollar index fell 0.33% to 103.25.
