Investing.com – US: Equity markets ended the session higher on Wednesday; the growth of the , , and sectors contributed to this increase.
As of the close of the NYSE, the index was up 0.80%, while the index was up 1.28% and the index was up 1.76%.
The best performance of the session for the index was credited to Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ: ) up 3.02% or 6.92 points for a closing price of 235.77. The best performers of the S&P 500 index go to Bio-Rad Laboratories Inc (NYSE:) gaining 6.53% for a price of 461.17, Etsy Inc (NASDAQ: ) up 6.11% to 134.69 e SolarEdge Technologies Inc (NASDAQ 🙂 which gained 5.84% for a closing price of 302.15.
The worst performers were Teleflex Incorporated (NYSE:) down 7.60% to 239.77 at the close, Dex Com Inc (NASDAQ:) which lost 4.26% to 106.16 e Intuitive Surgical Inc (NASDAQ: ), down 4.20% to close at 259.96.
The best performance of the NASDAQ Composite goes to Atlis motor vehicles Inc (NASDAQ:) gaining 276.12% to 10.08, Wide wind energy Inc (NASDAQ 🙂 up 96.90% to 4.45 e Bed Bath & Beyond Inc (NASDAQ 🙂 which gained 68.60% for a closing price of 3.49.
The worst performing values are Tantech Holdings Ltd (NASDAQ:) down 28.10% to 2.20 at the close, American Virtual Cloud Technologies Inc (NASDAQ:) shedding 24.65% to 1.07, and Kala Pharmaceuticals Inc (NASDAQ:), down 20.27% to close at 9:00 p.m.
The rising stock outpaced the falling stock on the New York Stock Exchange by 2,342 values at 729 and 97 flat; on the NASDAQ, 2503 values recorded an increase and 1225 recorded a decrease, 175 remained unchanged.
Broadwind Energy Inc (NASDAQ:) shares soared to a 52-week high, after surging 96.90% or 2.19 points to a price of 4.45.
The index, which measures the implied volatility of options on the S&P 500 index, rose 2.48% to 21.09.
On the other hand, gold for February delivery gained 0.23% or 4.35 points to $1.00 per troy ounce. Elsewhere, crude for February delivery rose 3.31% or 2.49 points to $77.61 a barrel, while Brent for March delivery gained 3.47 points. % or 2.78 points for a price of $82.88 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.21% to 1.08, while USD/JPY was up 0.14% to 132.43.
The US dollar index fell 0.01% to 102.97.
