Equities New York Outlook: US stock exchanges continue to hit sharply higher prices

A sharp rise in US consumer prices in April should put US stock exchanges under further pressure on Wednesday. The Dow Jones Industrial, which climbed above the 35,000 mark for the first time at the beginning of the week, has since lost several hundred points again. In the middle of the week it should go a little lower: Broker IG estimated the most important Wall Street barometer around 45 minutes before the start of trading 0.4 percent lower to 34,145 meters. According to IG, the technology-heavy Nasdaq 100 index indicates a further loss of 1.3 percent to 13,180 points.
