Jakarta, Selular.ID – Xiaomi Indonesia via Twitter announced the launch of its newest tablet, the Pad 5. The device is ready for sale starting on September 28, and is priced at IDR 4,999,000 via Mi.com, JD.ID, Akulaku and at Xiaomi physical stores.
According to reports, the Pad 5, which debuted in China, and then to Europe, is reportedly much cheaper in Indonesia, because in these two markets the device is priced at € 399 or around Rp. 6 million. Then in the country, this device is reportedly only available in a 6GB Ram version and 256GB storage.
In terms of specifications, the Pad 5 has an 11-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels, a high refresh rate of 120Hz, a PPI of up to 275, and a contrast ratio of 1500:1.
Then from the kitchen side, this device is powered by a Snapdragon 860 processor paired with 6GB of RAM. The device comes in two storage options – 128GB and 256GB.
Then the Pad 5 also excels in the aiming power department, packing a single 13MP camera with an LED flash on the back. For selfies, there’s one 8MP camera on the front that also supports Face unlock, and has four built-in speakers.
From the kitchen side, this device packs an 8720mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. The Pad 5 also runs on the new pad-only MIUI operating system. This MIUI brings features like custom input method, split screen, small window, parallel window and other functions.
Not only Xiaomi, Realme also has its first tablet device which is undeniably ready to enter the Indonesian market as well as being a competitor to the Pad 5. This device called the Realme Pad carries a 10.4-inch (2,000 × 1,200 pixels) diagonal LCD panel with WUXGA Plus resolution.
The Realme Pad is equipped with an 8 MP rear camera and relies on the Helio G80 (12nm) chipset from MediaTek. The chip is paired with two RAM and internal memory options, namely 3GB/32GB and 4GB/64GB. Its storage capacity can be expanded up to 1 TB via the microSD slot.
