Equipment demonstrations at digital arts forum attract pu

The digital arts forum at the Lamentin media library is an opportunity to meet and discuss with the actors of the local digital economy. On Saturday March 26, 2022, the presentation of new devices as well as 2D and 3D computer graphics workshops, sound creations attracted the public.



Since March 16, 2022, professionals, artists, trainers, discuss their productions and meet the general public to discover aspects of contemporary creation.

The forum will put computer graphics in the spotlight from Wednesday March 30, 2022 with a workshop on the restoration of old photos as well as methods of online visual creation

Yves Marie Séraline, the president of the association, is satisfied with the progress of this forum.

It is also an opportunity to promote Caribbean talents in several areas such as visual creation, 2D and 3D computer graphics, digital painting, image editing, photos and videos. In this digital forum, sound and sound creation are not forgotten (home studio, music, DJ).

The techniques require a good educational approach, and the OMDAC is keen to support consumers. Its field of application concerns the public.

The organizers have set up a contest. It aims to highlight skills and productions in the digital arts. The approach also aims to make artists and promoters known.

Applicants send their production to OMDAC using modern methods of communication: (Whatsapp, email or we-transfer).

Six categories are selected for this competition, registration is free:

– Free infographic creation (photo montage, 2 or 3D drawing, etc.)

– Sound editing of about 1 min 30 (free theme)

Video on smartphone of about 2′ (free subject, real images mixed with digital effects).

– Scenario of a subject to be realized in virtual reality (planned for 2′) presented in paper or digital storyboard

– Installation for interactive performance

– Mapping intended for a projection on a building

Participants have until midnight April 6 to register their productions. The jury will deliberate on April 9, 2022.
