Equipment dealer ‘Intrac’ for sale – DELFI

BaltCap Baltic Investment Fund III has sold Intrac Group, a distributor of forestry, construction, agricultural and industrial machinery, Baltic investment company UP Investment Group (UPI). Through this transaction, UPI will acquire 100% of Intrac Group, including shares in Nalka Invest and minority shareholders.

Intrac Group is the exclusive importer and distributor of the world’s leading manufacturers of industrial and agricultural machinery in Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia. The group represents agricultural machinery manufacturers such as John Deere Forestry, Manitou, Doosan, Case, Bomag and Massey Ferguson, as well as other brands. Intrac Holding AB is the parent company of the Intrac Group, headquartered in Stockholm.

“The company has grown more than four times since we invested in it. The growth of Intrac has also been challenged, including several periods of crisis and market changes that have been successfully overcome,” said Dagnis Dreimanis, BaltCap’s managing partner.

Marko Tali, investment manager at United Partners Investments, says the Intrac Group is an attractive investment with significant growth potential. The acquisition of Intrac allows UPI to create synergies between the light and heavy equipment distribution market in the Baltics. “

The transaction was advised by Aureus Capital Consulting. The value of the transaction and other details are not disclosed. The transaction has yet to be approved by regulators.

Intrac Latvija is an industrial and agricultural machinery sales and after-sales service company operating in Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia. The group company has 13 sales outlets, spare parts warehouses, service centers, as well as mobile service buses located in the Baltic States. Intrac has about 250 employees and in 2021 had a turnover of € 83 million.

Since 1995, BaltCap has invested in more than 100 companies in various industries and raised a total capital of more than 700 million euros. BaltCap is represented in all three Baltic countries.
