“We are the driving force behind the world’s digital leaders” likes to tell the American company Equinix, which designs, builds and operates more than 220 data centers in 26 countries. The company, created in 1998 and whose turnover is close to six billion dollars in 2020, operates nine in the Paris region, in Pantin, Saint-Denis, and Roissy. It has just started a tenth in Bruges, a town bordering Bordeaux, which will be the first outside Ile-de-France. Work began at the end of last year in the logistics area of Bruges, a stone’s throw from the ring road on a 23,000 m2 site. A building of 3,300 m2 of floor space and 5 meters high must rise from the ground in the coming months.
