During the conversation, he revealed that he had Sony Pictures agree to both ‘The Equalizer 4’ and ‘The Equalizer 5’. Not much information was provided, but here’s what the actor had to say about it:
“I told them I was going to make another ‘Equalizer’ and we’re doing four and five. More people are happy about it. People love those cool ‘Equalizers.’”
It’s currently unclear whether Fuqua will return to direct, or how soon these films will be shot. Washington is a busy man, after all. He recently teased his role in ‘Black Panther 3’. It has yet to be officially confirmed by Marvel Studios. The actor has also been tempted to retire after a few years, so there’s that. It’s unclear whether the next two “Equalizers” movies will be shot back-to-back. It would make a lot of sense if Sony could pull it off. After all, Washington is 69 years old. The sooner the better.

Not only do audiences love this movie, it’s been a surprisingly consistent hit. “The Equalizer 3″ has firmly established itself as the most consistent franchise of all time.All three films are being produced just to the north. $190 million at the box office with a similar budget. That’s money in Sony’s bank.
If this were to be a big case, if the next two “Equalizer” movies were shot simultaneously, production costs would be reduced and we would have two hits. But no matter how it unfolds, there are many stories to tell in this universe. ‘The Equalizer 3’ ended in a way that could have been a satisfying ending. In this iteration of the franchise. Washington further elaborated on his role as Robert McCall, explaining that he has embraced these films more as an actor in recent years.
“I sometimes say to myself, ‘One for me and one for them.’ For example, Othello: We’re doing a movie on Broadway. That’s for me. But I realized that the ‘Equalizer’ movie was also for me.
