EPYVAG entrepreneurs turn to integration

This Tuesday, February 22, for this first EPYKFé of the year, the entrepreneurs of the Valleys of the gaves members of EPYVAG had chosen the premises of the Green Brigade of the PLVG in Saint-Savin to meet and exchange around a coffee, l he main idea of this meeting is to put companies in contact with the integration community. They were received there by Marie-Pierre Geraudie, head of the PLVG integration workshop, who presented them with the integration project of the Green Brigade of the PLVG. To exercise its competence “Management of Aquatic Environments and Prevention of Floods” (GEMAPI) on the upstream Gave de Pau watershed, the PLVG has in fact set up a Green Brigade, made up of 9 technical agents specialized in works in river and the Atelier Chantier d’Insertion, which provides support. This Workshop, funded by the State, the Departmental Council of Hautes-Pyrénées and the Adour Garonne Water Agency, has an agreement to accommodate 12 positions on CDDI 26 hours a week, intended for people prescribed by their professional referents. As MP Geraudie explains, “this integration workshop is a real springboard for bouncing back in life because it allows people in integration, unemployed, encountering social and professional difficulties to benefit from employment contracts which, thanks to the The acquisition of knowledge to be, more than know-how, essential on the job market, will then facilitate their return to active life”. Hence the benefit of establishing contact with EPYVAG entrepreneurs, who may then be interested in welcoming these people in order to meet a specific need for manpower, train future employees, and thus provide social added value to their business. The main support activity of the PLVG Work Integration Project is the management of aquatic environments and the maintenance of waterways: the fight against invasive species, development and prevention of flooding, removal of jams, hence the implementation of work such as tree cutting, clearing of vegetation, removal of waste along the banks, etc., but this integration project can also offer other ancillary activities within the framework of provision agreements with the communities local. “By responding to a social issue of the territory, which, according to MP Geraudie, is relatively poor here in terms of training and integration systems, the PLVG thus responds to a real public service mission”.

This EPYKFE was also an opportunity to talk about the “Jobs and Trades Fair” that EPYVAG will organize on May 13 in Argelès-Gazost and the eco-citizen waste collection day on the Gave organized by the PLVG next March 5.
