José Mourinho has insisted that his Tottenham team remain in pursuit of a top four result this season.
This is despite coming down to ninth constituency on the union table given the brand new flash of disappointing results.
Tottenham have failed to triumph in four of their last five union matches and are losing a beat in a battle to clinch a top four result.
But the Portuguese coach believes that anything is possible, with only a small space separating the places of the Mix of Champions from those of the table.
“In the same way that you lose three games and you go to a bad position, the same way that you win three games and you go to a much better position,” the former Chelsea manager told talkSPORT.
“As happened last season, let’s go to the end and see what the table will give us.
“In the end, the board always gives you what you deserve and it is too premature to think about the definition of the board.
“We can finish in the top four, we can finish in the top six or we can finish outside of the top six. Anything can happen and we must make sure that it happens as well as possible. “
