Epigmenio Ibarra accuses Felipe Calderón of being racist by using “Guatemalan” as an insult

Journalist Epigmenio Ibarra premiered his new documentary “A Work of the People“, which talks about the construction of the Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA), which will open this Monday, March 21. I admire, love and respect the Central American peoples and for me the borders are points and lines on a map. I am Mexican by birth; son, grandson, great-grandson, great-great-grandson and chozno of Mexicans and Mexicans,” reads the journalist’s tweet.

Likewise, Epigmenio criticized what the former president said, assuring that he intended to use the word “Guatemalan as an insult.”

“@FelipeCalderon, like all fascists, intends to use “Guatemalan” as an insult. He exploits the xenophobia and racism of his followers. His anger against the “others”, the foreigners, the different ones. He is just a miserable promoter of hatred who has the hands stained with innocent blood,” he said.

The video, which lasts one hour and 12 minutes, begins with a phrase by General Felipe Ángeles Ramírez, which reads “Politics is not an end, the revolution is not an end. If not means to make men men”.
