And the Ministry continued: The Ministry of Health teams debated the cases and took laboratory samples for examination from the cases that showed symptoms of disease, and environmental samples were taken from water and sanitation, and samples from mosquitoes and mosquito larvae were taken, all of which were subjected to examination in the central laboratories of the Ministry of Health and Population, results showed. Investigation, laboratory analyzes, results of measuring mosquito densities, classification, insect surveillance, and examination of larvae, the presence of the mosquito that transmits dengue fever, known as Aedes aegypti, and laboratory results of blood samples drawn from disease cases through antibody examination and DNA examination showed that some samples were positive for fever. The main vector of the disease is the Aedes aegypti mosquito, and the disease is transmitted to a lesser extent by the Aedes albopictus, and the virus is transmitted to humans through the bites of infected female mosquitoes. The means of control are to improve the level of general hygiene and work to prevent the presence of garbage, swamps and stagnant water.

The Ministry of Health and Population confirmed that all infected cases are simple cases and received treatment at home, and there are no cases from the village, which were confined to hospitals as a result of dengue fever, and there are no deaths, and some cases are related to cases that showed symptoms in the cities of Safaga and Al-Qusayr.

The Ministry of Health and Population confirms taking and implementing all preventive and precautionary measures in combating disease vectors and limiting its spread.
